In a civilized modern world completely populated by anthropomorphic animals, an incredibly fragile cultural coexistence exists between carnivores and herbivores. However, this uneasy peace is violently shattered at Cherryton Academy when an alpaca named Tem is brutally murdered and devoured in the dead of night. The horrifying incident ignites an intense wave of unease and deep distrust among the student body, heavily fracturing the divide between the two factions. Amidst this rising tension, we meet Legoshi, a massive and deeply intimidating gray wolf who is actually an incredibly gentle, socially awkward outcast. Despite his terrifying appearance, Legoshi desperately tries to hide his carnivorous instincts and live peacefully in the shadows. His quiet life changes forever after a sudden and fateful encounter with Haru, a small, fiercely independent dwarf rabbit. As Legoshi finds himself developing complex and overwhelming feelings for Haru, he is forced to question his own nature. Is it true love, or simply his primal hunting instincts taking over? BEASTARS is a phenomenal psychological drama that brilliantly explores themes of prejudice, societal expectations, and the dark, hidden desires that lurk beneath the surface of civilization.
