Death Note MANGA

Light Yagami is an incredibly brilliant but deeply bored high school student who resents the rising crime rate and corruption in the world. His life takes a drastic turn when he discovers a mysterious black notebook lying on the ground, known as the Death Note. The notebook's instructions state that any human whose name is written inside it will die. Initially skeptical, Light tests the notebook on a criminal and is horrified, yet fascinated, to find that it works. He soon meets Ryuk, the Shinigami (God of Death) who dropped the notebook into the human world out of sheer boredom. Armed with this god-like power, Light embarks on a ruthless crusade to rid the world of evil and establish himself as the god of a new, perfect world under the alias 'Kira'. However, his massive string of unexplainable killings catches the attention of Interpol and a legendary, enigmatic detective known only as 'L'. What follows is a brilliant and deadly psychological game of cat and mouse, where one single mistake means execution. Death Note is a legendary psychological thriller that masterfully explores the corrupting nature of absolute power, the complexities of justice, and the darkest depths of the human mind.
