Golden Kamui MANGA

In the treacherous, freezing wilderness of early twentieth-century Hokkaido, veteran soldier Saichi Sugimoto has rightfully earned the terrifying nickname 'Sugimoto the Immortal' for his unparalleled savagery and miraculous survival during the incredibly brutal Russo-Japanese War. Desperate for money to fulfill a dying comrade's tragic last wish, Sugimoto throws himself into the chaotic Hokkaido gold rush. His seemingly impossible quest takes a shocking turn when he discovers the existence of a massive hidden fortune in Ainu gold, stolen and buried by a ruthless criminal. However, the only map to this unimaginable treasure is a complex, coded tattoo scattered across the bodies of twenty-four incredibly dangerous escaped convicts. Partnering with Asirpa, a fierce, highly skilled young Ainu huntress whose father was brutally murdered by the gold thief, Sugimoto embarks on a completely unpredictable and deadly treasure hunt. Golden Kamuy is a phenomenal, genre-defying masterpiece that seamlessly blends intense, high-stakes action, incredibly deeply researched historical and cultural facts about the Ainu people, mouth-watering wilderness cooking, and absolutely unhinged, laugh-out-loud comedy. As Sugimoto and Asirpa face off against rogue military factions, wild bears, and deranged killers, they forge an incredibly touching, unbreakable bond that serves as the brilliant emotional core of this wildly entertaining adventure.
