Home at the Horizon MANGA

In a quiet, beautifully serene seaside town, high school student Ryoma Kakiuchi spends his days helping his grandfather run their traditional, long-standing public bathhouse. His deeply peaceful, relatively uneventful life is completely turned upside down when a young boy named Reo Shibasaki suddenly appears at their doorstep. To Ryoma's absolute shock, Reo claims to be the illegitimate son of Ryoma's father, making them half-brothers. Upon learning the tragic news that their father has recently passed away, a grief-stricken Reo initially plans to leave the seaside town and carry his burdens entirely alone. However, unable to turn his back on his newfound family, Ryoma kindly and stubbornly convinces the young boy to stay with them and help manage the bathhouse instead. What follows is a profoundly touching, beautifully bittersweet, and incredibly heartwarming slice-of-life drama about two estranged brothers slowly learning to understand each other, heal their emotional wounds, and build a genuine family from scratch. Home at the Horizon is a masterful, highly sensitive exploration of grief, brotherhood, and the warm, comforting connections we forge with those around us.
